So long 2017!

So long 2017!

Long time, no blog! Life has been pretty chaotic since I ended finals, traveled up the coast of Australia, arrived back home in NJ and enjoyed the holidays! The good news is I have so much planned for 2018 in regards to my blog. I have so much advice to give about living and traveling around Australia and New Zealand. As well as tips for college students looking to study abroad, and how to stay organized and at peace with the big change.

My best friend and I also officially signed on our first apartment. I plan on documenting the transformation from clean and simple to hipster bohemian chic with our own twist. With that, I plan on upping my Instagram aesthetic and posting more fashion related posts. Would you be interested in that? I’m super excited for 2018! What are you excited for?

I’ve also been thinking about changing my domain. Renee Roaming suggests to grow your online presence like her that you rebrand. In other words, she recommends changing your domain from the typical first and last name to an account name that has to do with the type of content you post to be more memorable. What do you think I should do? Comment below!

2017 was a great year for me. I started implementing self-love techniques I learned from my favorite self help books. I traveled quite a bit, visiting Colorado twice, California for two days, spending 5 months in Australia, 10 days in New Zealand, a week in Michigan, and Florida for Christmas. I narrowed my friend group to those who make me happy and inspire me to be my best self. I finally chose my undergraduate major, after changing it five times. I found anxiety medications that keep me grounded without bad side effects. And overall, I stayed consistently happy. I no longer let the thoughts of others effect my self-worth, I chose to look at the positives instead of the negatives, and I learned to do things my way. If I don’t want to do something, I don’t do it.

I hope 2018 is even better than last year. I can’t wait for what’s to come. I hope you had a happy holiday and have a good new year! What’s your new years resolutions?

My two cents with questions asked : “LifeofRiley” for the new Rebrand
My resolution is to watch more sunsets! Last year it was to watch more sunrises…saw 110. Make your resolution obtainable…not like losing 10 pounds or growing 5 inches….
I think your readers would like a MakeOver or Before and after of your empty apartment…just sayin..
    Love you…dad
