Quick Day Trip In Sydney

Quick Day Trip In Sydney

Who’s down to take a spontaneous trip into Sydney? 🙋🏼 I am! After I finished my Friday-workout and ate some lunch, I decided I was going to take the train to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. I planned to take some pictures and find a coffee shop to catch up on some homework assignments and blog posts. But once Bianca and our housemate Connor decided to join me, that plan quickly changed. We visited the iconic landmarks, took pictures and ate dinner at the Opera Kitchen/Bar. The Opera Kitchen is a restaurant next to the Opera House that overlooks the Harbour Bridge. The food was delicious!

The entire duration of this quick trip was so extremely surreal. I kept thinking “I’m in Sydney, Australia! This is real!” I’ve been in Australia for 34 days and the surrealness of this experience still hasn’t sunk in. I’ve remained entirely in the moment and I am so blessed to be living this life.

We took the train from Macquarie University to Circular Quay. The train drops you off to this spectacular view. We got there right before sunset. My favourite time of the day!

I love love love this outfit. My jeans are from H&M, my belt and “Plants are friends” shirt is from Romwe, and my shoes are black Toms. The shirt is my favourite, as an Environmental Science major, for obvious reasons!

On Saturday Bianca and I have our first cheer competition! Bianca isn’t competing, but I am! On Sunday, we are performing at the Stanford vs. RICE Game at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium. The game is on August 26th and will be airing in Australia and the U.S. Make sure you watch and see if you can spot us on air! We’ll be the ones tumbling!
